Australian AI company Search365
brings Rosette text analytics to APAC

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. & SYDNEY 15.3.17

Julian Harris, CEO of leading Australian AI and big data analytics firm Search365 and Steve Cohen, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Basis Technology, have announced that Search 365 will become the official distributor of Basis Technology’s text analytics software, Rosette, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Search365 has doubled its revenue every year for the last three years and “this exceptional growth is just the beginning,” Harris says. “Influential tech analysts at Gartner say we’re on the cusp of a once-in-10-year explosion into friendlier, more usable data search and AI in the enterprise space. We’re already delivering world-leading enterprise data search, artificial intelligence and machine learning products to major federal government and corporate bodies, and Basis Technology is a strategic part of our multilingual analytics platform. We’ll now work with Basis Technology to increase uptake of their superb text analytics products in the APAC region.”

Chris Brown, Basis Technology VP International, confirmed the bullish projections for clever, user-friendly interpretation of massive-scale data. “With offices in the US, Japan and Europe, our Rosette suite is already interpreting and enriching data for clients with diverse profiles, from innovative startups to high profile international organisations. Rosette’s machine learning, statistical and rule-based models support smart algorithms that participated in the success of organisations like Bing, LinkedIn, Yelp, AirBnB, but also key government agencies around the world, including the US Department of Homeland Security.

Extracting key information written in different languages and scripts, beyond simple keyword searches, is possible with Rosette. Our partnership with Search365 will allow us to help companies and government agencies in the APAC region access these powerful tools. The future belongs to products and platforms that turn cryptic data into meaningful answers.”

Search365 and Basis Technology started collaborating in 2015, with Search365 recommending and integrating Rosette.

Search365 specialises in enterprise search for data discovery, and partners with state-of-the-art technology vendors. With many potential customers wanting to integrate Rosette quickly, and with no Basis Technology Australian office, it seemed only natural to give more autonomy and hand over the technical know-how to a great local partner who can better support customers in this region.

The increasing interest in multilingual search enhancement, document enrichment and identity resolution was the motivation to enhance the partnership and have Search365 become the official reseller and integrator of Rosette in the South Pacific region. Search365’s expertise, combined with Basis Technology technical and marketing resources, ensures successful integration, customisation and support of Rosette.
